Our own branded STUDENT and INTERMEDIATE violin outfits are now available from stock in 1/2, 3/4 and 4/4 sizes.

Each instrument is hand finished by a professional and experience string technician at our in-house workshop with bridges cut to optimum perfection and attention to all other features.

A fine selection of Northstar electric guitars has arrived in stock and ready to make their way out to new loving owners this Xmas. There are four main designs, each offering a stylish colour choice and pickup variation.

Beginner packages come supplied with choice of either a digital modelling amplifier or a more traditional analogue practice amp with a lead, picks, tuner, strap and case. Everything an aspiring guitar player could wish for to get started.

GOOD LUCK to everybody taking part in a RSL Awards graded exam at our centre today. It’s been all go so far with lots of talented candidates through the door and some amazing performances.

Please remember that the whole exam experience is supposed to be rewarding and help you grow as a musician. Have fun and give the examiner your best! If you need any help with anything at all, staff or on hand all day.

The kalimba is a beautiful sounding instrument that is easy to play, very portable and inexpensive. The tone is evocative of a music box and plucking out simple melodies is really enjoyable.

    Booths Music shop is situated on Churchgate in Bolton and has been one of Bolton’s leading musical instrument shops since 1832. It was Mr. James Booth, who is the great, great, great, great grandfather of the present owners who originally founded the music shop. His passion for music has been passed down through the generations and to all our expert staff and music tutors.

    Our music shop stocks a wide range of new and preowned musical instruments and accessories from guitar tutor books, banjo’s and electric violins to guitars, brass and woodwind instruments. We also have a workshop instore and can help with all musical instrument repairs and restoriations including professional guitar set ups.
