The latest event with our new stage and marquee saw our Live Zone bands perform a gig live on Sunday 11th October in front of a packed audience. The two groups were headlined by the superb Wolf Company on a evening of great entertainment. Here’s your review of the day as well as photos and video highlights!
Group 1
The gig proved a real success with those involved in our Live Zone band workshop program putting their practise into performance in style. The first group, aka Nothing Loyal was fronted by Amy on lead vocals, Braydon on the electro-acoustic, Emily on the drums and coach Mike on the bass. Nothing Loyal treated the crowd to a variety of songs such as Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus, Mr Brightside by The Killers, Miss You by Blink 182 and Jimmy Eat World’s The Middle.
Group 2
Following a short interval, group 2 took to the stage. Consisting of Johnny on guitar, bass and drums, Sean, Ben and band-coach Mike on lead guitar and Jake on drums and bass, the group regularly changed roles throughout their set. The band kicked off with a Superstitious style intro which cleverly mixed into Self Esteem by The Offspring. More medleys were to follow in their great set list, which featured Green Day’s American Idiot, Everlong by the Foo Fighters and Royal Blood’s Little Monster.
Massive congrats to all those who performed the gig on the day and big thanks to Mike for his huge role in coaching and mentoring the two Live Zone groups! We look forward to bringing you more gigs from the groups in the near future.
If you know someone who would be interested in joining our band workshop program, please get in touch via the Live Zone page. We’re currently looking for keen young guitarists, bassists and vocalists to form a third group.
