Part of our advanced range of violins, this handmade and hand varnished 1501 William Davy is from the well known Heritage workshop outside Beijing and modelled after Antonio Stradivari.
The back of the 1501 is in two pieces of figured maple from the Southern Himalaya; the ribs and scroll in similar wood. The table in two pieces of high mountain spruce from Northern China, 1501 features a hand applied spirit varnish which is shaded and of slightly antiqued aspect. Rosewood pegs, tailpiece and chin rest. Set up with optimum care the violin has an grade A Dispiau figured bridge and our own personal string choice (Tzigane).
