RSL Rockschool piano exams are proving to be increasingly popular at our Bolton centre thanks to the popular and challenging pieces available at grade level. Certified grades are available for piano and keyboard and the quick and easy application process is just a click away.
Pianos and keyboards for the RSL exams are of course provided here at Booths. A quiet room with acoustic piano is supplied for the allowed practised period prior to the start of the exam.

What’s the difference between a grade exam and performance certificate?
Graded piano exams currently consist of 3 prepared performance pieces and technical work as well as unprepared musicianship tests. Performance certificates consist of 5 performance pieces.
When can I take my Exam and how much will it cost?
Examinations take place in 3 periods each year; periods A, B and C. Candidates should specify which period they wish to book into during the application process. The cost of each exam depends on the grade and whether it is an individual or band assessment. Click for a full list of dates and costs.
