PRODUCT SOLD! Part of our advanced range of violins, this handmade and hand varnished 1907 William Davy has a more flat finish, lighter in colour – a more golden brown similar to the Amati models of old. The back and sides of the 1907 is (in two pieces) of European maple; the ribs and scroll in similar wood. The table is made of Engelmann spruce and features a hand applied spirit varnish which is shaded and of slightly antiqued aspect. The pegs, tailpiece (Hill), fingerboard and chin rest are A grade Ebony. Set up with optimum care, the violin has a Josef Teller figured maple bridge and our own personal string choice.
Typically these violins have a bright and responsive tone. Scroll down the page for more images.
