Booth’s Music played host to the popular ITV television series The X Factor yesterday, with the production team descending on Bolton to check out the best vocal talents on offer from hopeful contestants.
Vocalists in accross the region were invited along to show off their vocal abilities at open auditions Members of the ITV talent show production team set up shop in the Churchgate store ready to meet hopefuls.
Among the singers taking part was friend, customer and student Steph Barlow, who is part of Manchester funk-rock four piece Phoenix Effect. She told us “I would like to do X Factor, not necessarily to win it, but just for the experience!”
Show researchers James Cross and Grace Adams are travelling around the UK as part of a regional open audition tour, visiting more places to find potential stars who can not make it to auditions being held in cities such as Manchester and London. James said: “There have been quite a few people coming along this morning and, from what we have seen so far, we are really happy.”
Any voclaists who took part in the auditions may well get chance to appear in front of X Factor’s judging panel as the show celebrates its 13th series.
