A five-hundred strong crowd descended on Bolton’s Victoria Hall on Saturday evening to enjoy a spectacular showcase hosted by the staff, tutors and students of Booth’s Music. The summer concert 2014 demonstrated the talents of musicians as young as five years-old and a broad spectrum of entertainment ensured an enjoyable evening was had by all. With a program of acts lasting around two hours, the audience was treated to pianists, vocal soloists, rock bands and a string ensemble, amongst many other varied performances.
Whilst the summer concert was free entry, Booth’s Music are raising funds to purchase a mobile outdoor stage so that events can be held adjacent to the shop premises on Churchgate. This notion has been very well received by students, parents and customers and generous donations given at the concert have amounted to over £500.00. It is hoped that a stage such as this will provided a regular platform for students from Booth’s Music to perform on a more regular basis, as well as bringing entertainment to Churchgate, and the shoppers Bolton town centre.
The staff of Booth’s Music would like to extend their gratitude to all students and tutors who involved themselves in the event, and of course to all the parents, family members and friends who came along to enjoy the evening. The level of support shown for the summer concert and the stage fund raising has been fantastic.
