Any instrument is of course a challenge, but if your instrument of choice is the piano, it offers the most fulfilling of sounds as you are playing two melodies in conjunction with one other. Be it stride (pub piano), keyboard (chorded left hand) or classical, the sound is always full and the accreditation to playing your first recognisable piece is so mentally satisfying. It can’t but help strive you forward.

The piano is at the foundations of most styles of music. Of course there is classical, but we should not forget boogie woogie, jazz, rock and roll as well as the many contemporary styles of modern playing including the wizardry of the prog rock maestros.

Piano Lessons For All Ages & Abilities

Piano lessons and electronic keyboard tuition are conducted in our light and airy studios in Bolton town centre. Experienced music tutors are on hand throughout the week. Although they encounter great demand, we are always happy to accommodate new pupils for both keyboard and piano lessons, as well as other instruments of course.

A studious yet relaxed one-to-one learning environment is provided to students of all ages, ability and musical preference. Whether you want to study academically through the grades, brush up on your existing instrumental technique, or just have fun learning to play your favourite tunes and pieces at your own pace, our expert team of music tutors aim to fully cater for your individual needs.

Piano Exams Supported

Within our purpose-built studios, a team of dedicated and experienced music tutors operate a busy yet versatile teaching schedule throughout the day and into the evening. Sessions are focused and the one-to-one approach ensures that our students benefit from the full attention given throughout the duration of their music lessons.

A whole range of pupils benefit from the skills of our music tutors. Many have progressed to success through the now very popular RSL (Rockschool) program, ABRSM, Trinity College and London College schools of music, while others are happy to enjoy the music they love to play in a relaxed environment.

Please remember that Booths Music is a registered RSL Rockschool exam centre and students from the local area can choose to sit their graded guitar, bass or drum exam from our studios. We also stock all RSL exam repertoire and teaching material. Please enquire for more details.

We are in a position now to have had many thousands of students achieving hugely impressive exam results. Many of these students have gone on to further music education through college or university, with acceptances into RNCM, Chetham’s, LIPA and the many other institutes of performing arts around the country. It’s a proud and humbling reminder when we think back to how (then) little Jonnny, short enough to crawl under the door, is now teaching a class of students or producing an album, or entertaining an audience.
