Instrument Repairs Price List

Conducted at our Bolton workshop, Booths Music’s instrument repair service covers everything from professional guitar setups, instrument restoration and all manner of musical instrument repairs.

Below is our up-to-date price list as of October 2023. Please note the below prices are a guide; should a repair require extra parts or more attention the cost may be higher.

Guitar Setups and Services

General String Change: – £20.00 (inc. VAT) plus strings (dependent on string choice).

Electric guitar setups: Fixed bridge – £50.00 (inc. VAT) plus your personal string choice.

Electric guitar: Floating or locking trem system – £60.00 (inc. VAT) plus your personal string choice

Acoustics – £50.00 (inc. VAT) plus your personal string choice.

Bass – £50.00 (inc. VAT) plus personal string choice.

Turn-around time is generally one to three days depending on work load.

We can arrange to have your guitar picked up and redelivered for a £5.00 each way trip within the Bolton area. We are happy to quote for any other repair or upgrade you may require to any instrument.

Woodwind Repairs Example Costs

Flute service – £120.00 (inc. VAT)

Clarinet service – £120.00 (inc. VAT)

Saxophone Alto – £175.00 / Tenor £195.00 (inc. VAT)

Oboe / Bassoon – Price on Inspection

Prices are excluding necessary pad replacements. We have done some characterful and interesting instruments of great diversity within our service criteria for customers, whether it’s for flute, clarinet or saxophone we would love to have the opportunity to improve its overall playability.

We can arrange to have your instrument picked up for woodwind repairs and redelivered for a £5.00 each way trip within the Bolton and surrounding areas.

Brass and String Repairs

Brass and string instrument repairs are quoted on a job by job basis due to the varying nature of work needed. If you are wanting your instrument picked up and delivered, we will always quote brass and string repairs on arrival.

Instrument Collection Service

Our new collection service offers instrument repairs with the added convenience of pick-up and delivery.

Pickup and return days are currently the mornings of Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the service is available for those in Bolton and its surrounding areas.
