Opera Gala Review & Video Highlights

  • by

Our first opera gala in the new marquee stage area proved a great success and big hit among all spectators! A sell out event, the performances of Georgina Rosanna Murray, Helen Gregory (of Sapphire Lir) and Jonathan Ellis proved a real treat for all in attendance.

In a mixture of solos and duets, the soprano and mezzo duo performed classics such as Time to Say Goodbye, Sul Aria and Seguidilla from Carmen. The audience was also entertained with the highly amusing Cat Duet by Rossini, which portrays two sopranos going head to head in a single audition. Other hits included I Know Him so Well from Chess, You Raise Me Up, Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix from Samson and Delilah as well as Sul Aria from The Marriage of Figaro.
