Georgina Gears Up for Great North Swim

  • by

Following months of hard preparation in the pool, Booths vocal tutor Georgina is due to take on her challenge of the mile-long Great North Swim this Sunday (14/06/15) on Lake Windermere. Georgina is raising money for Mind – The Mental Health Charity and has already reached a decent target thanks to kind donations. With your help, we’re trying to give that number a final boost before tomorrow’s swim!

Donations are kindly accepted at Georgina’s Just Giving page at justgiving.com/Georgina-Rosanna-Murray2.

On her JustGiving page, Georgina writes:

“Mind and other mental health charities are so important in our modern world where 1 in 3 of us will suffer from mental health problems in our lifetime.

Mental Health is an issue that I come across in my family, friendships and work place. I myself have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks in my lifetime to the point where it began to affect my studies and relationships. Luckily with charities like Mind to guide me in the right direction I began my recovery and learned the skills needed to deal with my anxiety.

Swimming makes me feel happy and energised and helps to dispel my anxiety if she starts to rear her ugly head. It is part of who I am but I am learning to deal with it with mindfulness, good diet and exercise.

Please sponsor my 1 mile Great North Swim in Windermere and support the amazing work of this very important charity.”

Best of luck Georgina from all of the Booths Music team!
